Royal Doulton Figurines are some of the most sought after pottery collectables this side of the 20th century. The Royal Doulton pottery company dates back to the 1800s and the first figurine was made in 1913 by Charles Vyse. The first series of figurines were originally produced to satsify the creative imaginations of master potters Charles Vyse, Phoebe Stabler, John Slater, Charles J Noke and, of course, Henry Doulton amongst a couple of other designers.
It was a love affair with porcelain, collectable ornaments that would withstand the passage of time and even now, in 2008, the Royal Doulton Figurines, especially the older ones, are some of the most collectable items in pottery. From the Royal Doulton inception of 1815, it took the company almost 100 years to really hit the bigtime with the HN series of Pretty Ladies that was launched in 1913.
The HN series of Royal Doulton Figurines saw the creation of some of the most beautiful, handcrafted and handpainted ornamental, collectable figures England had ever seen and in 1913, around 20 years after Henry's Doulton's death, the starting Pretty Ladies lineup looked like this.
You can also see if we have any of the following Pretty Ladies figurines available to buy at auction and remember, any of the listed models will be very rare and hard to come by and if you see one available and you are an avid Royal Doulton Figurines collector then you should make sure you at least get a bid in on the lady you want.
